Hazard Identification

Hazard Identification

Hazard Identification (HAZID) is a proactive risk assessment study typically conducted during the early stages of project development. The objective is to systematically identify potential hazards that could impact personnel safety, asset integrity, environmental protection, or project execution.

Through structured workshops involving multidisciplinary experts, the HAZID process evaluates potential threats associated with facility design, process operations, location, and external factors.

The study identifies credible hazard scenarios and prioritizes them based on their potential consequences and likelihood. Early identification of these hazards enables project teams to incorporate risk mitigation measures into facility design before construction begins.

By addressing safety risks early in the project lifecycle, HAZID studies significantly reduce the likelihood of costly design changes, operational disruptions, or safety incidents.
